Crowe MacKay LLP is excited to grow our team and our Sunshine Coast office is currently searching for a Senior Accountant Assurance to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the Partners and will be a careerfocused individual that is excited to join a growthoriented entrepreneurial firm. This individual will be an integral part of our continued growth.
The Role
- Plan and perform review and audit engagements including oversight of junior staff according to Firm and regulatory standards for clients in a variety of industry segments.
- Prepare financial statements and corresponding notes in compliance with applicable standards specifically ASNPO ASPE and PSAS.
- In conjunction with and under the supervision of management responsible for completion of all aspects of the engagement.
- Identify investigate and correct discrepancies/ irregularities in financial entries documents and reports.
- Respond to client questions and queries.
- Raise identified technical issues with manager or engagement partner.
- Develop solutions with clients and coworkers through collaborative effort and discussion.
- Work with accounting software and provide support to clients.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Crowe MacKays services businesses and industry
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.
- Coach and mentor junior team members.
- Completion of additional adhoc administrative duties or assignments as required.
What You Will Bring
- Professional designation CPA (or legacy CA CMA CGA).
- Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience (including articling time)
- Prior experience in the industries our firm currently supports considered an asset.
- Excellent working knowledge of accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical & problem solving skills.
