We are BetterDoc a young digital health company with over 200 employees located in Cologne and Basel. We help patients with serious illnesses and complex diagnoses by recommending the best possible specialist for their specific health problem. To accomplish this we collect quality data from the healthcare system conduct our own research and survey our patients. Since 2012 we have already been able to help over 100.000 patients in finding the right doctor for their specific health problem. We have also been part of the Otto Group since 2022 which supports us in our mission.

To strengthen our Medical Science team we are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

As a Working Student in Digital Health you will support our team in bringing innovative ideas scientific insights and medical expertise into patientcentric health services. You will contribute to developing datadriven healthcare solutions collaborate across teams and gain handson experience in the intersection of medicine technology and business. This role is a great opportunity to apply your knowledge and analytical skills in a realworld setting while learning from industry experts.

Your mission

• Support the Medical Science Team Contribute to healthcare data initiatives that drive innovative solutions for patients and health insurers.
• Help with Analyzing & Interpreting Data Help generate actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and spur product innovation.
• Prepare Data Solutions Work closely with team members to prepare our ideas for smooth implementation.
• Conduct Structured Research Deepen our understanding of the German and Swiss healthcare systems and the broader healthcare data landscape.
• Collaborate Across Teams Partner with medical technical and business teams to develop refine and implement datacentric healthcare solutions.

Your profile

• Enrolled student in medicine health sciences data science or a similar field.
• Basic knowledge of healthcare systems.
• Interest in datadriven healthcare projects; rudimentary experience with data analysis SQL or databases is a plus.
• Tech savvy.
• Analytical and conceptual thinking skills with a structured problemsolving mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
• Fluency in English and good working knowledge of German.
