Job Description

The Job Mission
Supporting the delivery procurement and integration of Emergency Diesel Generators for a nuclear power plant by leading the technical oversight of suppliers and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Help lead the technical delivery of Emergency Diesel Generators and associated systems.
  • Develop and refine technical specifications for procurement and design leveraging expert input.
  • Review assess and approve supplier deliverables ensuring alignment with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and resolve complex multidisciplinary technical queries including unresolved technical issues interface queries and design changes.
  • Oversee contract technical discussions supplier performance reviews and compliance verification.
  • Work closely with technical specialists and ensure integration of Emergency Diesel Generators within wider plant systems.
  • Liaise with research and development and client teams to ensure successful interface management across mechanical electrical and control systems.
  • Support contract modifications exemptions and approvals ensuring all technical documentation is up to standard.

 


Qualifications :

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in the design of rotating equipment fluid systems and mechanical interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of specification or procurement of Emergency Diesel Generators for nuclear or other safetycritical environments.
  • Capable of writing and reviewing technical specifications for major equipment.
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and technical oversight of contract deliverables.
  • Familiarity with nuclear mechanical systems including tanks fluid handling and auxiliary equipment.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of power plant emergency power supply systems or similar safetyrelated equipment.
  • Understanding of contract forms such as NEC or FIDIC.
  • Previous experience in supplier surveillance and validation activities.
