Job Description

APAC Regional Responsibilities

  • Support oversee and maintain compliance with US GAAP accounting global policies and revenue recognition in the region
  • Manage end to end accounting for the 8 regional holding companies ensure compliance with local GAAP US GAAP external audits and maintaining & filing statutory tax and other regulatory requirements for these entities
  • Responsible for accurate and timely monthend quarterend and yearend close and reporting
  • Manage the calculation and distribution of management overhead and regional business services within APAC
  • Lease Accounting responsible for accurate lease accounting for the region in accordance with IFRS 16. Coordinate creation of leases in the group lease accounting system. Responsible for ensuring that regional lease balances as per accounting system agree to the lease management systems and coordinate to resolve any variances.
  • Revenue Recognition Conducting monthly SOX testing and reporting to Global Internal Audit team assist in maintaining compliance with US GAAP and global policies
  • Tax Coordinate quarterly tax submission for the region to Global tax help in resolving queries and assisting countries in completion of accurate quarterly submissions
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation review and compliance for the region
  • Intercompany balance review and reconciliation: Responsible for reviewing and reconciling intercompany balances. This involves proactively liaising with countries to minimize discrepancies ensuring optimal cash flow and efficient repatriation.

India US GAAP

  • Provide guidance and support for India US GAAP reporting & calculations / methodology strengthening of internal controls & processes
  • Support and review of USGAAP Revenue recognition
  • Review and provide USGAAP tax submission quarterly reporting

Qualifications :

 

  • Qualified CPA/CA with a minimum 8 years experience in a senior finance role.


Additional Information :

  • Extensive knowledge of financial accounting systems.
  • Experience with TM1 or similar reporting systems.
  • Expertise in technical accounting US GAAP/SOX compliance and internal controls gained through extensive experience in Big Four firms and multinational corporations.
  • Previous experience in reporting for multiple entities across different regions.
  • Awareness and understanding of tax and transfer pricing requirements in the region.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills fluent in both verbal and written English.
  • Resultsoriented capable of balancing multiple priorities projects and complex scenarios.
  • Collaborative and effective team member
  • Selfmotivated able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels various stakeholders and maintain effective working relationships
  • Adept at managing goals in unstructured situations and adaptable to change
