Job Description
We are seeking a passionate Scientific Officer to become part of a dynamic team thats providing laboratory services and scientific support to staff and students in the Health Group teaching programs. The Scientific Officer will work closely with the Technical Partners Team Team Leaders Technical Managers under the supervision of the Team Leader Laboratory and preclinical experience and collaboratively with other professional staff applying both expertise and judgement to provide a comprehensive range of technical support within Technical Partners Health.
About you
The successful candidate will have completed a Health or Science degree within the disciplines of Microbiology Anatomy and Physiology Chemistry in Biological Systems Cells Tissues and Regulation or Genes and Diseases with relevant laboratory experience; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
You will value continuous improvement and have a willingness to learn develop and update skills. You will be highly organised and enthusiastic have the ability to handle direction and multiple tasks concurrently be flexible and readily adapt to changing work requirements and demands. The successful candidate will have good attention to detail be diplomatic and thrive working in a culture that supports authentic and respectful interactions. You will be a team player who is trustworthy civil and cooperative within a workplace that is safe inclusive and equitable and work with a positive team of professionals to provide high quality technical support.

This is a fixed term (until 17 October 2025 fulltime position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multisite University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith Universitys campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The fulltime base salary for a HEW Level 5 is in the range $77761 $87235 per annum plus 17 employer superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $90981 $102065 per annum.
