JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Jennings LA

Service Setting: Inpatient Emergency Department

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: May 2025 Open Ended

Clinical Shift Schedule:

Physician Shifts: 6:00 AM 6:00 PM 6:00 PM 6:00 AM

NP/PA Shifts: 10:00 AM 10:00 PM

PATIENT INFORMATION:

Annual Volume: 14500 patients

Daily Volume: Approximately 40 patients

Trauma Level: Level 3

Admissions Rate: 12

EMS Patients: 17.3

Emergency Department Beds: 710

ICU Beds: Not specified

FACILITY INFORMATION:

EMR System: Ochsner EPIC

Backup Specialties: OBGYN Pediatrics Orthopedics Radiology Internal Medicine Family Practice Surgery

Special Services: CT ICU MRI Nuclear Medicine Physical Therapy Ultrasound

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE:

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

REQUIRED PROCEDURES & CERTIFICATIONS:

BE/BC

ATLS ACLS PALS

Active LA License or IMLC

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide highquality emergency medical care in a fastpaced environment

Manage a broad range of acute medical conditions and trauma cases

Collaborate with NP/PAs and other emergency department staff

Utilize Ochsner EPIC EMR system for documentation and order entry

Participate in required orientation EMR training and shadow shift prior to starting
