Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Technical Operations Engineer with a strong background in production support system monitoring and incident resolution. This role is ideal for someone who excels in troubleshooting complex technical issues and works effectively within a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise with tools such as Splunk IBM Instana and SQL and will be comfortable working with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform and AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incident Management: Triage production incidents evaluate their impact determine causes and provide effective resolutions to minimize downtime and maintain system reliability.
- Dashboard Development: Design develop and deploy dashboards and multidimensional reports using Splunk logs and IBM Instana to monitor system health performance and efficiency.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Work with the team to assess monitoring and alerting needs with a particular focus on Splunk logs ensuring that issues are detected and addressed early.
- Data Analysis: Use Splunk logs and databases to analyze system performance identify root causes of incidents and optimize system health to ensure minimal service disruptions.
- Early Detection: Leverage Splunk and other monitoring tools to identify abnormalities early preventing largescale system failures and improving overall system reliability.
- Cloud Analysis: Review and analyze Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) for irregularities and work with teams to implement solutions for performance improvements.
- Collaboration: Actively engage in production meetings to discuss issues collaborate with crossfunctional teams and communicate technical findings clearly to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with Splunk 57 years): Strong experience with Splunk for complex queries log analysis and system performance monitoring.
- Experience with APM Tools (IBM Instana or Similar) 57 years): Expertise with application performance monitoring tools such as IBM Instana New Relic or DataDog to monitor and troubleshoot performance issues.
- SQL Expertise 57 years): Proficient in SQL capable of analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights and drive system performance improvements.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data using tools like Excel and translate it into actionable insights and solutions for system optimization.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with experience explaining complex technical issues to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) Experience: Experience with Google Cloud services particularly BigQuery for identifying issues and improving cloudbased systems.
- Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with Java or other highlevel programming languages which can aid in understanding system behavior and troubleshooting.
- Cloud Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) its impact on production environments and how to optimize resource usage.
- Enterprise Application Architecture: Experience with best practices in enterprise application architecture design to ensure scalable and efficient systems.
