Position Summary
As our Backend Developer at HEAL Security you will contribute to planning designing developing and maintaining customerfacing solutions. As a key member of our highly collaborative Product Development team you will have the opportunity to build highperformance APIdriven solutions. You will work handson building our worldclass healthcare cybersecurity product leveraging technologies such as GraphQL Python Clojure and Datomic. Our primary data warehouse is built on a graph database with various services contributing to the data visible to the user search analytics and more.
You will have the opportunity to:
Collaborate with developers to design and develop new product features such as writing GraphQL mutations and query resolvers and crafting database queries.
Integrate LLMpowered AI tools into workflows to enhance automation and insights across the platform.
Write reusable code and implement comprehensive unit and endtoend testing.

Responsibilities:
Design develop and implement highquality scalable web applications across the serverside stack.
Write clean maintainable and reusable code.
Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with teammates.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and deliver product features.
Optimize backend performance and troubleshoot application issues.
Maintain security best practices across the codebase.
Experience / Qualifications:
Musthaves:
Python Clojure Datomic GraphQL.
Strong understanding of backend development principles.
Experience with relational and graph databases (e.g. PostgreSQL Datomic Neo4j).
Proficient in building REST or GraphQL APIs with automated unit testing.
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Neo4j including writing aggregate queries and performing outer joins.
Experience with microservices architecture and cloud computing.
Excellent problemsolving debugging and analytical skills.
Familiarity with agile development processes and testdriven development (TDD).
Strong communication skills and experience working in a remotefirst environment.
A teamoriented mindset valuing both winning and losing as a team while maintaining a healthy worklife balance.
Willingness and ability to travel for internal gatherings and teambuilding events on an (at most) quarterly basis.
Additional Skills:
Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Familiarity with Pub/Sub systems and data processing frameworks like Apache Beam.
Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure).
Working hours:
Youll need to work from 10 am to 7 pm UK time daily (GMT0 time zone you may check the time difference via the link.
What we offer:
Fulltime job 8 working hours per day MondayFriday). Please note that we wont consider candidates planning to combine several jobs were looking for a full commitment and dedication.
Fully remote work. You may be located in almost any country or city just need a laptop to work from a great internet connection and an opportunity to adjust your working hours with the schedule of the team.
Professional growth within the company this is not project work we consider only the candidates looking for a 2 years commitment.
Salary will be discussed during the interview. Paid in USD.
