Job Description
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and optimize a Nextflow pipeline
- Create Docker/Singularity images
- Ensure smooth deployment onTower integrating:
- GitHub (code management)
- Docker registry (containerized images)
- HPC clusters (computation workhorse)
- AWS S3 (data storage)
- Integrate various tools and databases into the Nextflow workflows to streamline data processing.
- Collaborate with bioinformaticians software engineers and data scientists to refine workflows and ensure performance optimization.
- Write clear technical documentation for the pipeline deployment and usage.
OUR REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong experience in developing and maintaining workflows using Nextflow.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker/Singularity).
- Familiarity with bioinformatics data processing and common formats.
- Handson experience with cloud computing (AWS GCP or Azure) and HPC environments.
- Version control and CI/CD experience using GitHub/GitLab.
- Scripting skills in Bash Python or R for bioinformatics.
- Knowledge of data storage solutions (AWS S3 object storage).
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work within CET 3h overlap with East Coast US business hours.
YOULL BE AN IDEAL CANDIDATE IF YOU HAVE:
- Background in Bioinformatics Computational Biology Software Engineering or related fields.
- Experience working with bioinformatics pipelines
- Ability to work in a crossfunctional team collaborating with bioinformaticians and data engineers.
- Passion for automating and optimizing computational workflows for largescale biological data analysis.
