We are working with a wellestablished international school in Spain offering a British curriculum with a strong focus on academic excellence and holistic development. We are seeking a passionate and experienced IB Art Teacher to join a leading international British school in Spain. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering highquality Art education across multiple levels including the IB Diploma Programme (DP) IGCSE and Key Stage 3. This role requires a dynamic educator who can inspire students foster creativity and support learners in developing technical and conceptual artistic skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach IB Diploma Programme (DP) Visual Arts ensuring students are prepared for their final assessments and exhibitions.
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive Art lessons for Key Stage 3 and IGCSE students following the British curriculum.
- Guide students in developing personal portfolios and projects that showcase their artistic growth and understanding.
- Encourage creativity independent thinking and critical analysis of art across different mediums and cultural contexts.
- Organize and oversee exhibitions student showcases and other creative initiatives within the school community.
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized support to students nurturing their artistic abilities and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Arts department and participate in crosscurricular projects where applicable.
- Maintain a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports artistic expression.
Requirements:
- A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE QTS or equivalent).
- A degree in Fine Arts Art Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching IB DP Visual Arts IGCSE and Key Stage 3 Art.
- A strong understanding of IB and British curriculum standards assessment methods and best practices.
- A passion for fostering artistic talent and an innovative approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- International teaching experience is preferred but not required.
