Job Description


Our client a midsized downtown lawfirm is seeking a skilled Senior Litigtion Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of legal administrative tasks efficiently. The salary range is $70000$90000.

Responsibilities include:
  • Court Document Preparation & Filing: Draft serve and file court documents such as Notices of Trial Notices of Change of Lawyer and other litigationrelated materials.
  • Scheduling & Calendar Management: Coordinate trial dates discoveries meetings and conferences while ensuring all deadlines and court limitations are met.
  • File & Document Management: Open maintain and organize legal files while adhering to firm policies and procedures.
  • Administrative Support: Handle large volumes of emails maintain calendars and bringforward systems and draft routine correspondence.
  • Billing & Accounting Support: Assist with invoice preparation send invoices and follow up on accounts receivable.
  • General Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to litigation lawyers and complete additional tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Completion of a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) program or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant or paralegal.
  • Strong knowledge of BC Supreme Court Rules procedures and filing deadlines.
  • Family law experience is an asset but not required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe MS Word Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong discretion when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including proofreading and editing.
  • Ability to work independently take initiative and be resourceful.
  • Client servicefocused with a proactive approach to responding to inquiries.
