Senior Property Accountant

We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Senior Property Accountant with 8 years of experience to manage key accounting functions for a dynamic multientity organization. This role involves analyzing and reporting financial data managing bank finances reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate records with a focus on real estate construction and partnership accounting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial reporting partnership distributions CAM reconciliations and lease agreements along with advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI. Experience with business and hotel insurance tax returns and mortgage documentation would be highly beneficial.

Qualifications:
  • 7 years of accounting experience preferably in real estate property management or construction accounting.
  • Strong understanding of partnership accounting tax returns and partnership distributions.
  • Experience with bank finances mortgage documents lease agreements and Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of business insurance and hotel insurance is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas pivot tables VLOOKUP Index Match) and Power BI (required).
  • Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems such as Yardi Voyager.
  • Experience in construction accounting and tracking developmentrelated financials.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Excellent attention to detail organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Selfmotivated and proactive with a commitment to company growth and goals.

Essential Duties:
  • Analyze and report financial information using Microsoft Power BI and advanced Excel tools to enhance financial planning and decisionmaking.
  • Manage bank finances including daily cash reporting loan reconciliations and mortgage document tracking.
  • Prepare and review financial reports including balance sheets income statements and cash flow analyses.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring proper classification of transactions and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee partnership accounting including distributions equity allocations and restructuring partnerships.
  • Process monthly bank reconciliations for multiple entities.
  • Record and monitor fluctuations in investment and wealth accounts.
  • Prepare taxrelated reports and assist external CPAs in yearend tax adjustments and filings.
  • Oversee CAM reconciliations and ensure compliance with lease agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with business and hotel insurance requirements and support risk management initiatives.
  • Support construction accounting functions including budgeting for facility and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Assist with yearend closing activities reconciling final balances and supporting audits.
  • Collaborate on special projects and financial process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Finance or related field is required.

Certifications:
  • CPA CMA CFA or CCIM would make you more competitive.
