Job Description

FAILURE ANALYSIS TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct root cause analysis on product failures
  • Evaluate products according to technical drawings schematics and documentation
  • Identify product flaws and recommend improvements
  • Execute testing protocols and gather relevant data
  • Verify and validate corrective action effectiveness
  • Document and communicate detailed root cause analysis findings
  • Design and implement experiments with audio equipment
  • Operate calibrate and maintain audio testing equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in analog and digital circuits
  • Provide technical support to electrical engineering and new product development teams
  • Conduct basic mechanical evaluations

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • AA degree or equivalent in a related field plus minimum 3 years of experience in root cause analysis
  • Advanced electronics failure analysis experience
  • Proficiency with test equipment including oscilloscopes 12volt power supplies and digital multimeters
  • Skilled in both throughhole and SMT soldering techniques
  • Ability to interpret schematics mechanical drawings and circuit board layouts
  • Knowledge of car audio system integration including source units equalizers speakers subwoofers signal processors and amplifiers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating system
  • Solid electronics background
  • Mobile audio experience considered a plus
