Job Description
About the role
We are currently looking for Metal Fitters/Machinists to join the team at our Ashburton plant.
The pay rate ranges from $40.00 to $52.00/hr based on experience and qualification.
You will be working a shift roster pattern 4 ON 4 OFF 12hour shifts and will be either working on Day or Night shift. A night shift allowance of $22.50 per shift will be paid for any nights worked.
As a Metal Fitter/Machinist you will be responsible for:
- Reading engineering drawings and specifications to determine requirements.
- Fitting fabricated metal parts as per plant requirements.
- Cutting threading bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
- Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance on plant equipment.
- Installation of new equipment
Qualifications :
For this role youll need:
- Trade certification qualification NZQA level 4 minimum.
- 4 years of experience in the trade preferred 3 years essential).
- Strong knowledge of building trades cleaning procedures and maintenance practices.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Competent computer literacy skills with capability in email MS Office MS Teams Deputy etc.
