Job Description

Are you a dynamic and inspiring PE Teacher (Female) eager to empower young women through physical activity in a progressive and inclusive secondary school in Hounslow We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our PE department starting September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to promote female participation in sports and contribute to a culture of health and wellbeing.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 with a focus on female participation.
  • Plan and prepare highquality lessons that cater to a variety of sporting abilities and interests ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources including fitness training team sports and individual activities to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress provide constructive feedback and support individual development.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and ALevel PE examinations ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and resources with a focus on female participation.
  • Foster a love of sports and physical activity in students encouraging them to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular sports activities and school teams particularly those focused on female participation.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3 4 and 5.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and ALevel PE examinations.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate female students of all sporting abilities.
  • A passion for sports and a commitment to promoting female participation.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
