Responsibilities of the Health & Social Care Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Health & Social Care lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment where students feel confident to explore Health & Social Care concepts and develop their understanding of health and wellbeing.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Health & Social Care providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development of the Health & Social Care curriculum and departmental resources.
  • Stay uptodate with the latest developments in the Health & Social Care sector and incorporate realworld examples into your teaching.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Health & Social Care teaching.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Health & Social Care or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Health & Social Care at the secondary level.
  • A strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
