Job Description
We are looking for a parttime Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work with adolescents children and adults at our Dundalk location.
National Pike Health Center was founded in 2001 as a clinic dedicated to offering behavioral health counseling to the children adolescents adults and families served. Decades later with 2 locations we are more committed than ever to providing these clients with quality service and a sense of community.
NPHC is communitybased Outpatient Mental Health Center with offices in Catonsville Dundalk and Westminster. We provide mental health therapy and a psychiatric rehabilitation program (PRP) for all ages and groups. A multidisciplinary team of outstanding mental health therapists psychiatrists rehabilitation coordinators and administrative staff join us on this mission. From inception to through treatment there is an ongoing planning and review of each case until the client is discharged. Our preventative and therapeutic outpatient mental health services provide treatment and psychiatric rehabilitation based on continually monitored and individualized treatment and/or rehabilitation goals.

Works under the supervision of the Medical Director and in accordance with established agency policy and procedures as well as within State guidelines. Maintains all documentation required by state or facility guidelines to demonstrate compliance with supervision requirements. Provides psychiatric consultation diagnostic and treatment services to the identified mental health population including medication management and crisis intervention services.
Qualifying applicants must have a Master s Degree & one of the following board certified licenses:
Masters Degree and MD. State approved licenses:

Expected Duties:
- Evaluates patients by interviewing patient family and other persons; conducting physical examinations; observing behaviors; reviewing medical history and related documents; selecting administering and interpreting psychological tests; ordering laboratory tests and evaluating results.
- Assesses a consumers problems and discusses the best way to plan and deliver care.
- Care for consumers experiencing acute mental distress.
- Develop and implement a treatment plan that is appropriate for each consumer by utilizing psychotherapeutic methods and medications; discussing progress toward goals with patients; providing instructions; monitoring the effect of medications; supervising staff provision of services.
- Ensure that plan provides relief and functionality to all consumers.
- Builds relationships with consumers and encourages trust.
- Treats patients by utilizing psychotherapeutic methods and medications; discussing progress toward goals with patients; providing instructions; monitoring the effect of medications; supervising staff provision of services.
- Responsible for responding to distressed consumers in a nonthreatening manner and try to understand the source of the problem.
- Provides evidencebased individual therapy as needed.
- Works with consumer and their families and helps with educating them about their mental health problems.
- Support consumer care for a variety of different mental disabilities and dysfunctions.
- Prescribes and reviews medication needs of consumers on an ongoing basis.
- Completes all documentation in a timely manner.
- Completes all other duties as needed.
