Job Description

Derivatives Analyst

This is an open role for our client in the insurance industry supporting the derivatives onboarding process within a global financial services organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for onboarding new accounts and brokers ensuring operational readiness for derivatives trading and maintaining compliance with legal and documentation requirements. The position involves managing broker relationships coordinating with legal teams and supporting the setup of trading technology for new derivative product types. A strong attention to detail ability to work in a fastpaced environment and excellent communication skills are essential.

Incorporated Business Rate: $63 to $69 per hour.
12month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities:

Conduct onboarding functions for new derivatives accounts and brokers.
Manage derivatives trading operational readiness including middle office operations and collateral management.
Support traders in securing the best by establishing necessary broker relationships.
Collaborate with Legal Services to ensure appropriate legal agreements are in place.
Maintain documentation for accounts brokers and legal agreements.
Track and update dashboards related to derivatives approvals and onboarding requests.
Maintain a detailed matrix of authorized derivative products legal agreements and active brokers.
Assist in managing external broker relationships.
Work with the Derivatives Solutions team to implement trading technology for new product types.
Lead side projects to clean up records and validate broker setups.
Support alignment of onboarding processes with global teams including Asia Derivatives Services.
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and mitigate financial and operational risks.

What you will need to succeed:

Undergraduate degree in Business Administration Finance Economics or a related field.
3 years of relevant industry experience including at least 1 year of handson experience with derivative products.
Strong knowledge of derivative instruments including repos TBAs futures listed and OTC options FX swaptions OTC swaps and centrally cleared swaps.
Familiarity with derivatives trading and collateral agreements such as Clearing Agreements GiveUps ISDA/CSAs GMRAs and MSFTAs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess problems and recommend solutions.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment.
Teamoriented mindset with experience in building and maintaining internal and external relationships.
Familiarity with fund structures including mutual funds pooled funds private funds UCITS institutional accounts and life insurance general accounts.
Preferred: Experience in the insurance and asset management industries.
