Job Description

Job Title: Year 3 Teacher

Location: Hammersmith London

Contract Type: Fulltime Permanent

Start Date: September 2025

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Year 3 Teacher to join our team on a fulltime permanent basis.

Role Overview

As a Year 3 Teacher you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of your pupils delivering engaging lessons that build a strong foundation for their academic and personal development. You will work alongside experienced colleagues to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every child thrives.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

  • Plan and deliver engaging creative and wellstructured lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Foster a nurturing classroom environment that supports all learners.
  • Use a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Encourage independent learning curiosity and a growth mindset among pupils.

Pupil Progress & Assessment

  • Monitor and track pupil progress using assessment data to inform lesson planning.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to pupils and parents to support learning and development.
  • Identify and implement targeted interventions for pupils who need additional support.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil achievement and contribute to schoolwide assessment processes.

Classroom & Behaviour Management

  • Set high expectations for behaviour and create a positive respectful learning environment.
  • Implement the schools behaviour policies effectively promoting kindness and responsibility.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils fostering confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and ensure curriculum continuity.
  • Attend staff meetings training sessions and CPD opportunities.
  • Engage with parents and carers to build strong homeschool partnerships that support pupil learning.

School Contribution

  • Participate in school events trips and extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience.
  • Support wholeschool initiatives and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Uphold the schools values and ethos acting as a positive role model for pupils.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 or Lower Key Stage 2 (Year 3 preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a love of learning and high aspirations for all pupils.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a diverse and multicultural school setting.
  • Understanding of SEND and EAL teaching strategies.
  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school initiatives.
