Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative PYP2 Lead Teacher to join our International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) team. In this role you will design and deliver engaging inquirybased learning experiences that foster a nurturing and stimulating educational environment. You will lead and collaborate with fellow educators to implement the PYP curriculum effectively and ensure highquality teaching practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Planning & Delivery:
- Develop and deliver dynamic lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework.
- Utilize inquirybased learning strategies to encourage critical thinking and student engagement.
- Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring:
- Implement formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student development.
- Collaboration & Team Leadership:
- Work closely with colleagues to plan implement and continuously improve the PYP curriculum.
- Mentor and support team members contributing to a collaborative and professional learning community.
- Parent & Community Engagement:
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the overall school community.
- Professional Development:
- Engage in ongoing professional learning to stay updated on best practices in IB PYP and inquirybased instruction.
- Reflect on teaching practices and seek continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Education or a related subject area.
- IB PYP certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a PYP or inquirybased learning environment.
- Strong understanding of the IB PYP framework and inquirybased learning methodologies.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead collaborate and inspire students and colleagues
