Job Description
We are seeking a professional and customerfocused Driver to join our team in Birmingham United Kingdom. As a Driver you will be responsible for safely transporting goods or passengers to their destinations while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Plan and optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries or passenger arrivals
- Perform pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Load and unload cargo or assist passengers as needed
- Maintain accurate logs of trips mileage and any incidents or delays
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers customers and team members
- Handle cash transactions and maintain proper documentation when required
- Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times
- Adapt to changing schedules and road conditions with flexibility and resilience
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior
Qualifications :
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities
- Proficiency in using GPS and navigation tools
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Ability to lift and handle packages of varying weights
- Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy in recordkeeping
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and routes
- Goaloriented with a commitment to meeting delivery or transportation targets
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a professional driver preferred
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL) may be required for certain positions
- Knowledge of the Birmingham area and surrounding regions is a plus
