Job Description

To support our continued and exciting growth we are looking for experienced Delivery Managers who can lead a team of skilled and committed consultants and create a positive dialogue and strong trusted relationships with our customers. If you can take responsibility for delivery and team management from the first day then we have a role for you.

Our Defence and Manufacturing team is specifically recruiting at the midsenior and senior level. Candidates will have strong leadership skills and extensive experience in the UK Defence sector. The best candidates will have very recent experience in key digital departments including Top Level Budget holders and Defence Digital. Experience of the Enabling Organisations is also desirable.

Successful candidates will work with the Defence and Manufacturing leadership team to develop pursue and secure business leads and opportunities through formal bids and strong client relationships. Additionally they will lead engagements on our fastpaced deliveries.

As a Delivery Manager you will be responsible for a team of talented consultants delivering a wide range of complex projects for our clients that deliver real business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the motivating and driving factor for your team to ensure clients constantly have motivated skilled consultants to solve their challenges
  • Carry the delivery and financial responsibility for your technology and business change projects putting you in charge of achieving success
  • Join a management team with other Delivery Managers to drive the growth of our business through the identification of new propositions
  • Identify new client(s) opportunities and help shape their requirements provide estimates and take them through the sales process
  • Develop your career through our Academy and mentoring programmes to ensure you grow with us.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Deep domain knowledge of how Defence works the supplier ecosystem and commercial policy
  • Have led multidisciplined teams in a Defence setting
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects within project and programme management roles that achieve real business outcomes and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
  • History of leading large change projects from the front with experience of scoping overall project deliverables as well as timeframes to work within
  • Excellence in stakeholder management across an organisation
  • An ability to communicate clearly to management team members and customers about project programme and business matters that builds trust and creates strong relationships
  • Financial management of projects in excess of 1M including estimation cost control and commercial negotiation of existing and new opportunities.
  • Contributed to a wider community of professionals providing knowledge sharing support and mentorship to more junior members of the organisation
  • Knowledge of Defence policies including Joint Service Publications
  • Detailed knowledge of the Digital Strategy for Defence and the Digital Backbone
  • Highly conversant in technology challenges and able to articulate appropriate business outcomes through the delivery of digital solutions
  • Hold relevant security clearances

Additional Information :

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be reliable and flexible.
  • Hours of work will be between 08:00 18:00 with an 8hour working day staggered across the 10hour timeframe.
