About the role
We are looking for a strategic intelligence analyst to join our team in an embedded role for our financial technology client based in London.
You will be focusing on the APAC region and detecting analysing and advising on adverse conditions that could affect the safety security and operational continuity of the clients business.
In particular you will focus on threats physical security intelligence analysis and investigations as it applies to persons and groups of interest. The role has a focus on the Asia Pacific region but requires a broad understanding of intelligence in world affairs.
The role will involve written and verbal briefings including presenting and incorporating relevant data and visualisations. This role will also incorporate threat investigations on a regular basis. Due to being embedded you will engage directly with the client to provide immediate support and consulting.
Responsibilities
- Plan research and create a range of analytical reports delivering actionable insight to internal clients often independently and without explicit requests;
- Conduct fastturnaround security investigations as needed;
- Deliver oncall intelligence assessments tailored to client requirements;
- Network and support the growth of the intelligence function within the client company;
- Display creative and proactive thinking and consulting skills to deliver a continually improving service for the client;
- Be an effective member of a small team focused on delivery of lean highimpact services;
- Effectively manage the client as the embedded representative of Sibyllines team ensuring that they are receiving consistently high standards of support;
- Own and develop key intelligence products inclusive of the content and recipients.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- At least 35 years professional experience in an analytical function and demonstrable interest in political and commercial connections
- Excellent fluent written English and verbal communication skills with the ability to write coherently and with little need for editing
- In depth knowledge and understanding of Asia Pacific politics business environments and current events
- Demonstrable experience in threat investigations
- Sharp analytical skills: an ability to provide rigorous creative insight into complex situations
- Ability to research and analyse a wide range of information and create insightful analysis in accordance with strict deadlines
- Ability to produce quality finished intelligence and investigations products for short deadlines including operational briefs and longterm strategic assessments
- Ability to manipulate and visualise data including the innovative use of infographics
- Excellent research and investigative skills and ability to rapidly digest evaluate and sift large quantities of information
- Able to work proactively and with little oversight in both individual and team environments
- Ability to provide rigorous creative insight into complex situations
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced working environment and deliver timely work products in a fastpaced working environment
- Strong personal initiative with ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver solutions under minimal guidance
- Excellent attention to detail
- High level of competency with MS Office tools
- Existing authorisation to live and work in the UK.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree (Masters)
- Crossfunctional experience within a global security team (e.g. threat monitoring travel security business continuity and crisis management)
- Consulting experience.
