Job Description
Parttime custodial position at a state agency located in South Charleston WV. Responsible for keeping premises of office building in clean and orderly condition by performing the following job duties:
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures marble surfaces and trim.
- Cleans rooms hallways lobbies lounges rest rooms corridors elevators stairways locker rooms and other work areas.
- Sweeps and scrubs floor.
- Cleans rugs carpets upholstered furniture and draperies.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Washes windows door panels and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Sweep and pickup trash on the parking lot and entrances or as specified by contract.
- Cleans all sinks commodes and mirrors.
- Maintain janitorial equipment and supplies to ensure economical use thereof.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED preferred and one to three months experience and/or training. Prior custodial experience strongly preferred.
- Must have ability to pass criminal background check.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Judgment must be used if items weigh over 25 pounds.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Additional Information :
- Day shift parttime position.
- Position will follow West Virginia state agency holiday schedule.
