Senior SAP Functional Analyst

MISSION

As part of the Enterprise Solutions team within IT this individual will play a key role in applying their expert knowledge of SAP ERP and supply chain functional areas (particularly planning and procurement) to produce high quality results. The individual is responsible for optimizing and supporting supply chain business processes with effective technology solutions that are consistent with industry best practices.

KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS

• High quality project deliverables on time and adhering to specified business requirements
• Provide functional and configuration knowledge in designing solutions in various SAP Supply Chain modules (SCM F&R MM LE MAP & related Master Data elements) in an ISRetail environment to meet business requirements
• Enhance supply chain processes by analyzing developing and integrating system solutions that affect retail trade planning distribution and inventory to maximize company profitability and minimize cost
• Design develop maintain and support supply chain systems resolving defects solving problems and testing/validating functionality.
• Achievements based on goals set out by the manager of the team

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Functional

• Work closely with business owners to identify and document business requirements to meet the end users needs
• Understand configuration dependencies and integration points between functional modules of SAP and designs and troubleshoots in the area with this knowledge
• Provide alternative solutions based on best practices and SAP functionality
• Work with developers to develop comprehensive Business Requirements and Technical Requirements documents
• Development of functional specification documentation for the development of applications and configuration
• Perform SAP configuration and unit/functional testing for required applications
• Act as functional lead on projects
• Support development and QA departments through project lifecycle
• Provide production support as needed with problem resolution and escalation where necessary (oncall support is required)
• Provide leadership in the development of functional skills in others through active knowledge sharing
• Project rollout planning for production releases
• Scope and size new initiatives and assist with developing functional and technological project roadmaps
• Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all decisionmaking and design processes
• Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs
• Embrace and seek out technology that creates high tech and high touch solutions for Indigos customers
• Challenge the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement diagnosing issues and working to resolve them

• All Other IT Departments; Inventory Management Category Management Warehouse and Master Data teams on the business side

External:

• IT technology partners vendors

Qualifications :

Work Experience / Education / Certifications

• Computer Science Engineering or related degree with formal training in the areas of supply chain and ERP systems
• Minimum 7 years work experience with SAP ERP (R/3 ECC6 system and related technologies such as SCM F&R.
• Experience with at least one complete SAP life cycle implementation
• Experience with F&R is a must have.
• Experience with MM is a must have.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle
• Excellent analytical/problem solving and English oral/written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience in testing and production delivery
• Experienced in functional and technical specification development
• Experienced in troubleshooting and resolving SAP functional problems
• Experience in working in a 24x7 support environment
• Excellent customerfacing skills in terms of managing expectations and resolving issues
• Experience with Task Management and Time Management skills
• Experience with project management
• Solid judgment and decisionmaking capabilities
• Ability to examine system support problems and correct or reassign for resolution
• Ability to work successfully in a dynamic fastpaced culture
• Selfmotivated and has the ability to work independently
• Strong knowledge of Retail business processes (finance retail procurement logistics master data)

Competencies / Skills / Attributes

• Minimum of 7 years SAP Functional experience including at least 1 end to end implementation
• Handson configuration experience in areas of F&R MM LE WM/EWM (asset) and all related Master Data elements
• Experience with MM and F&R are musthaves.
• Experience with SD is an asset.
• Experienced in Site Setup Article Master and Inventory Management Purchasing & Procurement Vendor master Forecasting & Replenishment; Account determination for purchasing and inventory.
• Knowledge of integration with the following modules: WM/EWM FI/CO SD BW
• Must have good understanding of supply chain planning practices
• Knowledge of EDI and IDOC technologies in SAP implementations
• Experience with warehouse management systems (such as WM or third party) and integration with ECC6 and MM
• Basic knowledge of ABAP/4 is an asset
• Experience with SAP ISRetail is an asset
