The Accounting Clerk will play a vital role in supporting the companys accounting operations through clerical and administrative tasks. This role involves financial recordkeeping data entry bookkeeping invoice tracking and assisting in financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be detailoriented analytical and proficient in financial procedures and software.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and process financial transactions including data entry document sorting and digital/cash transactions.
- Prepare monthend reports and reconcile transactions budgets and expense reports.
- Maintain accurate financial filing systems for efficient recordkeeping.
- Track loans credit balances and accounts payable details through balance sheets.
- Assist in preparing financial reports including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial documents and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Input financial data into accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP).
- Reconcile accounts balance the general ledger and reconcile bank statements.
- Identify discrepancies and report findings to management.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Support software updates for accounting systems and recommend enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Assist with special projects and adhoc reporting as needed.
- Adhere to company policies regarding overtime authorization and scheduling.
Work Environment
- Ability to sit for long periods and occasionally lift office supplies (up to 20 lbs).
- Maintain a structured and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and adhere to financial compliance standards.
Additional Information
- Unauthorized approval of overtime and repeated refusal to work overtime are violations of company policy.
- This role requires adaptability and the ability to work on multiple financial tasks concurrently.
Salary Range: $22 $30 per hour
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Finance or Accounting.
- 12 years of experience in clerical accounting.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Google Sheets) and accounting software (QuickBooks SAP).
- Strong understanding of financial principles tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare financial reports accurately.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to detect discrepancies.
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
