Job Description
Sr. Project Manager
Location: Urbandale IA (Hybrid)
Experience Level: MidSenior Level
Employment Type: Contract
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Sr. Project Manager to manage and support work streams within a complex financefocused program. The role requires someone capable of driving successful project delivery across diverse teams ensuring seamless integration and managing senior stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and support various work streams including people process technology and real estate components to deliver the endstate Target Operating Model for the Finance team.
- Effectively communicate with key stakeholders ensuring project updates are conveyed efficiently.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously.
- Utilize project implementation documentation such as toolkits and migration schedules.
- Escalate risks and their impact on business initiatives to management within the organization.
- Design and create strategic documents such as Project Business Cases Assessments Communication Plans and detailed Project Plans.
- Lead the decisionmaking process to ensure project progress and resolve key project issues.
- Manage project controls and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while following appropriate escalation processes.
- Ensure project deliverables are aligned with organizational goals and workstream vision.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Economics Finance or related field (MBA/Masters preferred); equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting; 23 years of relevant project management experience may be included.
- Proven experience as a people manager with strong leadership skills.
- Strong communication and influencing abilities.
- Solid project management skills; PMP certification is preferred but not required.
Key Competencies:
- Ability to manage diverse global workstreams and navigate a complex stakeholder environment.
- Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to manage scope changes and directional shifts.
- Experience managing transitions and integration within largescale organizational change.
