Overview:
- A leading global FinTech company is seeking a Senior Postgres DBA to manage and optimize enterprise databases in a fastpaced hightransaction environment. This role involves close collaboration with application teams database architecture and automation to enhance performance and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Postgres SME managing databases supporting nearly 1 million credit card transactions daily.
- Optimize Postgres databases ensuring stability high availability and performance tuning.
- Work closely with application teams to understand project needs and deliver database solutions.
- Lead ETL processes integrating data across systems efficiently.
- Install upgrade and maintain database software ensuring uptodate environments.
- Automate tasks using Bash Python Ansible or Terraform to improve efficiency.
- Provide 24x7 database support ensuring operational continuity.
Qualifications:
- Relational database experience with a strong focus on PostgreSQL MySQL and Oracle.
- Significant years as a DBA handling performance tuning replication and database administration.
- Expertise in Linux administration query optimization and database health monitoring.
- Experience with Couchbase NoSQL databases and cloud environments (AWS/Azure preferred).
- Proficiency in automation tools (e.g. Ansible Terraform).
- Strong knowledge of PL/SQL Shell scripting (Bash Perl Python).
Preferred:
- Certifications in PostgreSQL AWS or Azure.
- Experience working in hightransaction financial environments.
