Job Description

Our Outside School Hours Care service South Melbourne OSHClub is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinator to assist with managing the service and providing engaging programs for our primaryage children. 

This is a permanent parttime opportunity offering 25 hours per week (guaranteed minimum) to assist with leading a team of passionate Educators. You will work across split shifts to support the services operating hours of Monday Friday 7:00am 9:00am (Rise then Shine Program) and 3:00pm 6:00pm (Stay and Play Program). You can pick up extra hours during the school holidays too!

About the role

Youll lead a vibrant before and afterschool program at a primary school guiding children aged 512 through fun and enriching activities. With the backing of a dedicated statespecific office and the mentorship of regional managers who visit regularly youll be empowered to shine in your role while developing your skills as a leader.   • Develop and facilitate an engaging childcentered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM sport cooking art and craft whatever you and the children are into! 

  • Foster healthy relationships with children the school community and parents 

  • Lead a team of Educators onsite including roster management 

  • Manage the daytoday operations of your service including compliance and administration

Qualifications :

We can teach you about the job and sector but a few basics you need to have: 

Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact 
Communicates clearly and confidently 
Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role 
Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check 
Has Australian work rights 
Obtained or studying towards a relevant qualification to work with kids in OSHC per ACECQA
