Job Description
To prepare tooling required by production before it is needed to ensure less downtime. To report any damage to tooling and arrange repair at soonest opportunity. To transport tooling to/from Ely and HD as required. To arrange tool transfers to other sites. Keeping up to date records of tooling repairs and locations of tooling. Weekly stock take of blades.
You are aware of your responsibilities and will execute your duties in line with all company systems and procedures in place to support product safety legality integrity and quality including systems for escalating issues to a designated manager where immediate action is required.
Ensure correct preparation of thermoforming tooling.
Diagnose tooling problems and carry out fault finding/trouble shooting.
Liaise with Manager and HD upon diagnosis of faults and assist with repairs where possible.
Liaise with planning department of issues involving tool availability or clashes.
To assist production with machine issues and repairs reknifes.
To ensure tools are kept in correct locations.
Keep HD notified of current blade stock.
Ensure all machines and equipment are used safely and in line with the Standard Operating Procedures.
Complete tooling check sheets as and when required.
Comply with all current Health & Safety policies and procedures updating systems as required.
Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards in the work area.
Adopt working practices to comply with Company and general health and safety requirements.
Communicate with manager and all other personnel as required.
Any other duties as requested by Managers/ other Managers that are appropriate for your job role.
Qualifications :
High attention to detail
Problem solving skills / issue resolution
Good communication between colleagues and managers
Able to interpret product specifications and quality requirements
Thermoforming Manufacturing Experience
Busy production environment high volume
Team working
Manual handling
