Job Description
The Windows Software Developer II will join the Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS) division of INFICON making industryleading scheduling and visualization software to optimize semiconductor manufacturing. We have a talented team of Software Developers and are looking for more developers to join us! Reporting to our Director of Product Development this is a Remote/Home Office opportunity with a flexible work schedule that will work collaboratively with our U.S. and International developers.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop implement and maintain worldclass databasedriven Windows desktop applications.
- Collaborate on Microsoft Teams and video calls with other members of the consulting and programming teams.
- Determine appropriate technical solutions and make relevant recommendations to team and clients.
- Engage in outsidethebox thinking to provide high value to clients.
- Be actively involved in projects and motivated with innovative ideas.
Qualifications :
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or significant relevant work experience
- 5 years of Windows desktop programming experience required
- Using Microsoft Foundation Classes
- Comfortable with application authoring tools such as Visual Studio
- Strong knowledge of multithreaded and threadsafe design
- Good working knowledge of databases and SQL
- Effective communication comfortable discussing solutions with team and customers
- Experience with industrial applications such as manufacturing applications
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects at the same time
- Must write neat and organized code and maintain documentation
- Agile Software Development methodology
- Experience with GIT or other content versioning system
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows environment and applications
- Strong desire to learn and improve
- Experience with network programming
Preferred Skills:
- Semiconductor Manufacturing
- Fault Detection and Classification (FDC)
- Project Management
- Data Analysis
- Python or similar scripting
- Hardware communication programming
- Angular JavaScript/TypeScript or C# programming
- UI design using Microsoft Foundation Classes
Additional Information :
For New York the expected salary range for this position is between $90000 and $150000 per year. In addition INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience location and other factors permitted by law
