Your Mission:
Your position is assigned to the WTCHOL research project. The overall objective of this project is to characterize cholera transmission in two endemic areasurban and ruralin the Democratic Republic of Congo and to assess the impact of mass vaccination campaigns (Oral Cholera Vaccine) on the ongoing control of cholera transmission. The project includes multiple aspects and studies for which different analytical techniques may be used.
The results of this operational project are expected to provide key decisionmaking elements for MSFs epidemic and emergency programs as well as for national and global cholera response strategies.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in research work and contribute to the design of the studys scientific analyses.
- Independently conduct statistical analyses and write publications to highlight the studys results.
- Provide support in data management monitoring and quality control
What You Bring:
Technical and Operational Skills:
- You will work on various technical epidemiological topics related to cholera transmission assessment and the impact of cholera vaccination.
Strong Statistical and Scientific Analysis Skills:
- The analyses will cover diverse topics related to the project. The analytical techniques may include but are not limited to statistical models such as regression timeseries analysis testnegative design or latentclass model analysis.
Experience in Scientific Reporting and Publications:
- You will independently write scientific reports and publications.
Scientific Rigor:
- Your analytical and meticulous approach will be essential for producing highquality analyses and publications.
Data Management Skills:
- You will contribute to study data management ensuring monitoring and quality control through database management and by providing guidance and support to the field data encoding and management team as needed.
Proactive Approach:
- You will take part in designing scientific analyses based on available data and contribute to the project on a broader scale. Your input will be valued and considered.
Project Management Skills:
- You will independently lead certain analyses and provide support for project management as required.
Interpersonal and Team Spirit:
- You will be able to organize and facilitate your analytical activities autonomously while collaborating with the principal investigator and the projects research team.
Ability to Integrate into a Multidisciplinary and Multinational Team:
- You will work within a highly motivated and skilled team maintaining regular contact with both field and headquarters teams in a dynamic intercultural setting.

Qualifications :
Education:
- Masters degree university diploma or highlevel certification in epidemiology biostatistics or sciences (mandatory).
- PhD or equivalent degree (a plus).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in epidemiological analysis epidemiological modeling or related fields.
- Previous experience in epidemic response including technical analyses (a plus).
- Experience with MSF Epicentre or other international health NGOs (a plus).
Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical and statistical skills.
- Advanced programming in R (including RMarkdown and Git usage) (mandatory).
- Proficiency in other programming languages (a plus).
- Experience working with large databases.
- Knowledge of data science visualization and GIS tools.
- Experience with data collection and management tools (RedCap Kobo etc..
Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent organizational written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international team.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Languages:
- Fluency in French and English (minimum C1 level required).
- Experience in scientific writing in English.
