Job Mission
In the Data Team at Tibber youll play a crucial role in shaping how data is modeled structured and made accessible for business and analytical use. We are a group of data engineers analytics engineers data analysts data scientists and quantitative engineers working together to turn raw data into actionable insights that drive smarter energy decisions for our customers.
As an Analytics Engineer youll be a core enabler of our datadriven business ensuring that data is wellmodeled reliable and easy to use across the company. Youll own the semantic layer and be responsible for transforming raw data into welldefined trusted datasets that service both downstream customerfacing applications as well as empower our business teams.
What youll do
Model & Transform Data Design build and maintain curated analyticsready datasets using dbt optimized for both analytical reporting and machine learning applications.
Create & Maintain the Semantic Layer Define businessfriendly tables metrics and dimensions that serve as the foundation for reliable decisionmaking.
Optimize for SelfService Analytics Ensure that stakeholders can easily find understand and trust the data they need reducing reliance on adhoc requests.
Collaborate with Data & Business Teams Work closely with data analysts data scientists and business stakeholders to understand data needs and improve accessibility.
Ensure Data Quality & Trust Implement data validation monitoring and governance practices to reduce inconsistencies and improve data reliability.
Refine & Standardize Data Practices Define best practices for data modeling documentation and transformation logic ensuring a scalable and maintainable data ecosystem.
What were looking for
Passion for the Power of Data. You love data that is reliable and accessible because you understand that data is the lifeblood of an organization. You care about data governance documentation and quality ensuring that data is trustworthy and easytouse across Tibber.
Data Modeling & Transformation Expertise. 3 years of experience designing clean reusable data models and transformation logic ideally with dbt.
SQL Mastery. Strong ability to write optimized scalable SQL for data transformation performance tuning and complex analytical queries.
Analytics Enablement. Experience designing structuring and optimizing datasets to support downstream applications as well as BI tools like ThoughtSpot or similar platforms
Collaboration & Communication. Ability to bridge the gap between data engineering and analytics working crossfunctionally to align on data definitions and improve accessibility
Version Control & CI/CD. Familiarity with Gitbased workflows and CI/CD pipelines for managing transformations and data models efficiently.
