Job Description

Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Facility: School
Location: Federal Way WA 98003
Payrate: $60/hourly
Duration: 42 Weeks Contract
Guarantee Hours: 37.5 Hours
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Days: Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri

Summary: The SpeechLanguage Pathologist (SLP) assesses diagnoses treats and helps to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients speech language and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Implement therapy techniques to improve communication and swallowing skills.
  • Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and coping techniques.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed patient records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Conduct research related to speech and language problems.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters Degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology.
  • License: Valid SLP license in the state of WA.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in SpeechLanguage Pathology (CCCSLP) from ASHA (American SpeechLanguageHearing Association).
  • Experience: Varies by position; typically 12 years of experience as a speechlanguage pathologist.
