Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Government and Civic Education Teacher to join our educational institution in Benin City Nigeria. As a key member of our faculty you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of young learners and fostering their understanding of government systems civic responsibilities and current political issues.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum standards for government and civic education
- Create a dynamic classroom environment that encourages critical thinking debate and active participation
- Teach students about various forms of government political processes and civic duties
- Integrate current events and realworld examples into lessons to make the subject matter relevant and interesting
- Assess student progress through a variety of methods including tests projects and class participation
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience
- Organize and supervise educational field trips to government institutions and civic events
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance grades and progress
- Communicate effectively with parents guardians and school administration regarding student performance and needs
- Stay updated on the latest teaching methodologies and educational technologies in the field of government and civic education
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Political Science Government or a related field
- Valid teaching certification or license
- Proven teaching experience in government and civic education
- Indepth knowledge of government systems civic processes and current political events
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent classroom management abilities
- Proficiency in curriculum development and implementation
- Experience in creating engaging lesson plans and educational materials
- Skill in assessment and evaluation techniques
