Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will work on projects and initiatives under the supervision of the Manufacturing Engineering staff. As part of the team the intern will develop an understanding of the Manufacturing processes and develop methods tools and documentation to support lean manufacturing and improve the overall product flow. They undertake a variety of ongoing activities and assigned projects at varying levels of professional complexity requiring knowledge within an area of specialty and/or engineering college major. It is expected that the intern will participate in technical projects designed to develop personal and professional skills appropriate to the needs of the Manufacturing Engineering department. Work will include daily product review/disposition as well as specific project activity intended to improve yields and/or efficiency of the production line.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree program in engineering (mechanical electrical chemical materials science etc..
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to approach technical problems in a logical and scientific manner
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Familiarity with basic shop and measurement tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
- Familiarity with gathering and analyzing data (MS Access)
- Familiarity with statistical software packages (Minitab JMP etc.
- Familiarity with programming (Visual Studio)
