A day in the life of an AWS Cloud Developer

As anAWS Cloud Developer you will be responsible for designing and developing most optimal cloudbased solutions for our clients and maintaining cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policies. You would be working closely with data engineers and solution architects to produce great technical designs and make them into a reality.

Your main duties will be to: 

• Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate and identify optimal AWS cloud solutions
• Review requirements and develop accurate estimates
• Resolve ambiguities with customer requirements
• Modify and / or improve existing systems
• Educate teams on the implementation of new AWS cloud technologies and initiatives
• Design develop and deploy modular or cross cloudbased systems
• Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices
• Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.

Qualifications :

What would make you a fit for the role:

• University degree in Computer Science Information Systems or other relevant disciplines with at least 7 years of experience in ICT sector
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an AWS Cloud Developer
• AWS Certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Developer Associate)
• Experience in AWS based Cloud deployment support and migration as well as strong understanding of the AWS Services with respect to Networking Compute storage Databases and Security (VPC EC2 S3 RDS etc.
• Familiarity with serverless infrastructures (Lambda Dynamo S3 Cognito)
• Expert level knowledge of Java Python or Go programming language and automation tools/ techniques related to cloud technologies (CI/CD)
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containers/deployment
• Good understanding of Security and user identity and access management
• Experience in writing reusable Infrastructure as Code preferably Cloud Formation
• Formal requirements analysis and architecture modeling methodologies and tools
• Excellent command of the English language (written & verbal) and strong communication skills
• Methodical resultsoriented mindset
