Roles and responsibilities

JASARA PMC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Traffic Manager to join our team. As a Senior Traffic Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing traffic operations for our Civil Engineering projects in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for developing and implementing traffic management plans, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic within project sites. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement traffic management plans in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices
• Coordinate with government authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals for traffic operations
• Conduct traffic impact assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation measures
• Monitor traffic conditions and implement real-time adjustments to traffic management plans as needed
• Manage and coordinate traffic personnel and equipment for efficient traffic flow
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure traffic management requirements are incorporated into project planning and design
• Prepare and present traffic reports and updates to senior management and key stakeholders

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 15 years of experience in traffic management, preferably in the civil engineering industry
In-depth knowledge of traffic regulations and standards in Saudi Arabia
Proficiency in traffic management software and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Proven leadership and team management capabilities
Transportation and Logistics Management
Coordination of Shipments: Oversee the scheduling and routing of shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery. This includes liaising with shipping carriers, customs officials, and third-party service providers.
Manage Delivery Schedules: Ensure that products or materials are delivered on time, in good condition, and within the required cost parameters. Monitor and adjust delivery routes as needed to optimize efficiency.
Inventory Control: Monitor the flow of materials, ensuring that inventory is managed appropriately to meet production or sales requirements. This may involve working closely with procurement and warehouse teams.
Documentation: Ensure that all transportation-related documentation (e.g., bills of lading, shipping orders, customs documents) is properly handled, recorded, and filed.
Traffic Flow and Routing
Route Planning: Develop and manage the most efficient routes for the delivery of goods, taking into consideration delivery deadlines, traffic patterns, and road conditions. This could include planning for local, regional, or international shipments.
Optimize Load Capacity: Work with logistics and warehouse teams to maximize vehicle load capacity, thereby minimizing costs and improving efficiency.
Monitor Traffic Conditions: Keep track of current and forecasted traffic conditions that may affect delivery schedules. Ensure that alternatives are ready when delays are expected due to weather, accidents, or road closures.
