JASARA PMC is looking for a skilled Project Controller Specialist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be integral in supporting the planning, monitoring, and controlling of project performance across high-profile infrastructure projects. Your expertise will contribute to effective cost management, schedule adherence, and risk mitigation to ensure the successful delivery of projects aligned with our commitment to excellence in project management in Saudi Arabia.
As a Project Controller Specialist, you will collaborate with project managers and teams to analyze project data, prepare reports, and proactively identify issues that may impact project goals. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will be essential in enhancing project efficiency and accountability.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain project control systems, including schedules and budgets
Monitor project progress and performance, preparing regular status reports for stakeholders
Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and variances from project plans
Collaborate with project teams to implement corrective actions to address project challenges
Facilitate project risk assessments and support the mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with company policies and project management best practices
Assist in training and mentoring junior team members on project controls processes
Project Planning and Budgeting
Budget Creation and Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and aligned with financial forecasts. This involves working with project managers and other stakeholders to establish initial budgets and tracking any changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Cost Estimation: Estimate project costs and resources required, factoring in labor, materials, equipment, and external services. Ensure these align with the project's objectives and schedule.
Forecasting: Provide regular financial forecasts to project management teams, ensuring that potential budget variances are identified early and adjusted as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Project Management, or a related field
5+ years of experience in project controls or a related role in the construction or engineering industry
Strong knowledge of project control methodologies and tools
Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while meeting deadlines
Certification in project management (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent) is a plus
Project Monitoring and Reporting
Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress against agreed timelines, budgets, and milestones. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the project is on track and address any deviations from the plan.
Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs to ensure that expenditures remain within the approved budget. Investigate any discrepancies and provide solutions for cost overruns.
Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular reports to stakeholders, including project status reports, financial reports, and risk assessments. Highlight any potential issues or delays and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Earned Value Management (EVM): Implement and manage EVM practices to evaluate project performance and progress, comparing the planned work with the actual work completed.
