Design and Technology Teacher (Stoke on Trent)
Position: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Stoke on Trent
Contract: FullTime Permanent
Salary: Competitive based on experience
About the Design and Technology Teacher Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team at a wellestablished secondary school in Stoke on Trent. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire students across Key Stage 3 4 and potentially 5 teaching a variety of subjects including product design engineering and materials technology.
As a Design and Technology Teacher you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons supporting student development and contributing to the overall academic growth of the department. You will be part of a collaborative environment where you can share ideas and innovate in your teaching practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver highquality Design and Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 4 and 5.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
- Participate in extracurricular activities including design challenges and school events.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge and passion for Design and Technology.
- Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Previous experience as a Design and Technology Teacher at secondary level.
