Job Description

The Production Assembly Technician will perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies subassemblies aircraft systems equipment and accessories. This position requires adherence to safety standards quality inspections and certification training to ensure all required certifications are obtained and maintained.

  • Perform routine assembly operations including installation of aircraft system components such as panels mechanical assemblies and accessories.
  • Follow detailed technical work instructions blueprints and specifications.
  • Use a variety of hand tools including rivet guns screwdrivers ratchet wrenches nut runners and more.
  • Operate mechanical lifts (ladders snorkel lifts tiger lifts) to access assembly areas.
  • Apply sealants and coatings to surfaces per specifications.
  • Inspect work for quality ensuring no Foreign Object Debris (FOD) is present.
  • Work around energized electrical equipment and hazardous environments following safety protocols.
  • Work in confined spaces and use respirators when necessary.
  • Lift and carry components up to 35 pounds.
  • Perform tasks that require climbing crawling bending twisting and working in various physical positions.
  • Complete all required training and certifications including New Hire Training Cycle Flow and any other specific training related to aerospace manufacturing processes.
  • Perform fuel tank sealing and bonding operations as needed.

Qualifications :

  • 1 year of experience in aerospace production utilizing detailed work instructions and reading blueprints drawings or specifications.
  • 1 year of technical or aviation school experience.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and qualify for respirator use.
  • Ability to work with high hazard chemicals and use safety equipment.
  • Proficiency in using basic hand tools and highimpact vibratory tools.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Outlook CAD/3D Drawing programs and Internet Explorer.
  • Ability to complete required training and certification processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in aerospace or aviation assembly roles.
  • Completion of aviationrelated degrees or certifications.
  • Ability to work a variable shift 1st 2nd or 3rd shift).
