Job Description
At Polestar we dont just drive innovation in our cars our entire business model is different from our competitors. Were looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our North American Finance Team for our Summer Internship program.
This internship will be located in our Mahwah NJ headquarters where we embrace a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in office per week (Tuesday Wednesday & Thursday).
Let us describe the challenge we offer
The Finance Data Science Intern will have the opportunity to obtain real world experience working directly with our finance team supporting Polestars North American business operations. You will work directly with our finance team to enable data transparency and information flow by building a set of dashboards to be used in performance measurement and target setting. In this role you will gain exposure to various departments and taking deep dives into dashboards and reporting that directly impact our business.
What youll do
- Build dashboards in Power BI through collaboration with business finance and IT
- Support efficient monthend reporting by automating data manipulation and consolidation
- Identify areas for process automation in implement required changes.
- Perform a deep dive analysis into the US market to prepare reporting and dashboards that directly support our commercial business.
- Provide critical insights and trends that help to shape the decisions of key business stakeholders.
Who you are
- Current student or recent graduate in a Data Science Engineering Statistics or similar quantitative discipline.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for storytelling through data
- Experience with at least one: SQL R Python etc for data extraction manipulation and wrangling
- Experience with Power BI or similar preferred
- Familiarity with financial modeling preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work Excel Powerpoint)
- You are s self start and are energize by problem solving.
