Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (Traveler) to join our operating room team on a contract basis. This role is essential in supporting surgeons during procedures maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the efficiency of the surgical team. As a traveler youll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting gaining experience in different facilities while making a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures by providing instruments and supplies.
- Prepare operating rooms ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to optimize efficiency.
- Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper labeling for lab analysis.
- Collaborate with nurses anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Follow hospital policies and best practices to maintain high standards of patient safety.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Surgical Tech
- Experience in multiple surgical specialties preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to adapt to new environments and work effectively in a fastpaced setting
