About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Definitive Observation Unit (DOU) team. In this role you will provide highquality intermediatelevel patient care for those requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient stability and assist in the transition from critical care to general medicalsurgical units.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care in the DOU ensuring safe and effective monitoring.
- Continuously assess patient conditions respond promptly to changes and escalate care as needed.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and administer medications per physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians therapists and other medical professionals to develop and execute care plans.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and posthospital care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient conditions and treatments.
- Adhere to all hospital policies protocols and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications: - Active RN license in Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of DOU or stepdown experience
- BLS & ACLS certifications (Required)
- Strong critical thinking and decisionmaking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
