Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the organizations database infrastructure ensuring high availability security and performance.
- Develop and implement best practices for database design deployment and maintenance.
- Lead a team of database administrators providing guidance mentorship and technical expertise.
- Monitor database performance troubleshoot issues and implement proactive solutions.
- Design and maintain backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize database performance for applications and systems.
- Conduct capacity planning and scalability assessments to meet current and future business needs.
- Stay updated on the latest database technologies trends and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (Masters preferred).
- 6 years of experience in database administration with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in database platforms such as SQL Server Oracle MySQL PostgreSQL or others. Handson experience in SQL Server administration for at least 3 years is a must.
- Handson experience in SQL Server replications would be plus.
- Strong knowledge of database architecture clustering and replication.
- Experience with cloudbased database solutions (AWS or Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g. Python Shell PowerShell).
- Indepth understanding of database security backup and recovery processes.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
