Job Description
Location: White River Junction VT
Duration: 7 Months
Shift Schedule: 40 hrs/ week
Experience: 3 years of recent chemistry urinalysis blood bank hematology coagulation and microbiology experience
License: Medical Technologists (MT MLS or CLS) ASCP or AMT
Job Description:
- Perform routine chemistry urinalysis hematology coagulation microbiology and blood bank testing using automated and manual methods ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct quality control procedures daily and weekly perform instrument maintenance and troubleshoot any technical issues.
- Carry out crossmatching antibody screening and blood product processing for routine and emergency blood bank requests.
- Independently evaluate document and report patient test results and quality control data resolving any discrepancies in collection processing testing or reporting.
- Participate in the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Proficiency Testing (PT) Program ensuring compliance with established laboratory protocols.
