Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detailoriented and experienced Estimator to prepare accurate quotes manage costs and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure project success. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of steel fabrication processes estimating software and AutoCAD/SolidWorks. This role is critical for ensuring project profitability and timely delivery.
- Preparation of steel fabrication quotes including interpretation of drawings quantifying material costs and estimating job hours and lead times.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and availability information
- Prepare comprehensive estimates that include material labour equipment and overhead costs
- Identify potential risks and contingencies to ensure estimates are realistic and competitive
- Collaborate with team to refine and finalise estimates
- Continuously research and stay uptodate with industry trends and pricing changes
- Develop detailed and accurate takeoffs and material lists.
- Evaluate and source materials subcontractor bids and other cost components.
- Schedule jobs in coordination with the Workshop Manager to arrange resources establish priorities and efficient workflows to ensure jobs are completed on time.
- Support and provide workshop with information and oversight to ensure jobs are executed correctly and on time.
Requirements
Requirements/Skills Needed:
- Minimum 3 years experience as an Estimator in the sheet metal processing and steel fabrication industry
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes including laser cutting and folding press brake Plate Rolling Section Rolling and Fabrication.
- Proficient in the use of estimating software and spreadsheet applications
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with crossfunctional teams
- Experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks design packages
- Preparation of quotes
- Good customer focus skills
- Good organizational and team working skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines
Additional Job Details:
- Setup and Location: Hybrid (Ortigas Alabang Pampanga Cebu)
- Work Schedule: 9:00AM to 6:00PM (AWST) 9:00AM to 6:00PM (PH)
- Employment Type: Fulltime
