Job Description

  • Facility Maintenance & Safety

    • Ensure a safe and wellmaintained environment for patients visitors and staff.
    • Oversee maintenance activities to minimize downtime of utilities and equipment.
    • Ensure cleanliness and infection control standards are met.
    • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Regulatory & Compliance

    • Ensure timely renewal of licenses and compliance with local authorities (e.g. Fire Department Utilities Health & Safety).
    • Maintain hospital accreditation standards for building and equipment.
    • Participate in safety drills and committees to uphold health and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service & Operational Efficiency

    • Optimize resources to deliver highquality facility services including building maintenance and biomedical engineering.
    • Analyze customer feedback to enhance service quality.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders on emergency response procedures.
  • Financial & Resource Management

    • Implement costeffective strategies for facility operations.
    • Optimize the use of equipment manpower and budgets to improve efficiency.
  • Team Leadership & Project Management

    • Lead the facilities team in daily operations and strategic planning.
    • Oversee renovation and development projects from conceptual design to completion.
    • Ensure smooth coordination with internal departments and external contractors.


  • Requirements

    Education:

    • Bachelors Degree in Engineering Hospitality Management or a related field.
    • MBA is an advantage.
    • Certification as a Professional Engineer (Board of Engineers Malaysia) or Certified Healthcare Facility Manager is preferred.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 15 years of experience in facilities management engineering services or support functions.
    • Preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting at a senior executive or managerial level.

    Technical Skills:

    • Project management and multitasking abilities.
    • Strong problemsolving skills.

    Interpersonal Skills:

    • Strong analytical thinking leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage long hours when required.
    • Effective decisionmaking and problemsolving abilities.

    Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
    • Understanding of facility operations building services and biomedical equipment maintenance.
