Job Description
Position: Accounts Payable Accountant
Location: Indianapolis IN (46204)
Client: State of Indiana
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
We are seeking a detailoriented Accounts Payable Accountant to analyze financial information and prepare reports to maintain accurate records of financial activities. The ideal candidate will provide support in budgeting policy development and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise management on account status and assist with budget preparation.
- Develop and implement new accounting methods and procedures.
- Certify accuracy of financial records and analyze financial statements.
- Reconcile discrepancies and interact with state and federal audit representatives.
- Maintain and coordinate the computerized accounting system for the program area.
Required Skills:
- 2 years of accounting experience.
- 2 years of experience in analyzing and preparing financial reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Strong communication skills and customer service experience.
- Experience with state and federal audit representatives (highly desired).
