We are looking for a Shift Electrician to work in Lexington NC supporting our client.
Job Description:
About the Role: Our client is seeking experienced Electricians to support our ongoing operations and drive continuous improvement. As a Fortune 100 corporation and North America s leader in steel production and recycling we prioritize safety innovation and teamwork. Our Electricians are key to ensuring reliable operations minimizing downtime and supporting a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daytoday electrical maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment
- Support automation systems including PLC troubleshooting and programming
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimize performance and aggressively pursue process improvements
- Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance using CMMS or related systems
- Ensure compliance with safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards
- Potentially work rotating schedules overtime weekends and holidays as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in industrial (or comparable) electrical maintenance OR
- Equivalent education/military training (Electrical)
- Formal Training Requirement: Must have at least a 2year electrical or related technical degree OR military training in Electrical
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in steel mill electrical maintenance
- Demonstrated understanding of power systems and automation technologies
- PLC troubleshooting and programming expertise
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and mechanics
- Proven track record in process improvement and collaboration with operations
- Additional certifications or degrees in Electrical or related fields
